App Introduction
Automatically checks for incorrect shipping addresses. By having customers reconfirm, it reduces address errors and streamlines shipping operations. This app checks Japanese shipping addresses during checkout/purchase completion in your store. If errors are found, it prompts customers to reconfirm and correct the address themselves. For minor formatting inconsistencies in Japanese addresses, the app automatically converts them to Japan Post’s official format—so even hard-to-spot address issues can be fixed smartly. With improved shipping address accuracy, you’ll reduce manual confirmation work for customers and prevent address-related errors in your shipping system. Core Functionality
- Conducts delivery address checks tailored specifically for Japanese addresses based on Japan Post data. Customers can correct their addresses to the proper format using the results.
- Checks occur on the post-purchase thank-you page (all Shopify plans) and during address entry at checkout (Shopify Plus stores only).
- Also includes check items designed for workflows where orders are integrated with Japanese shipping services. (Examples: English notation checks, detection of characters outside JIS Level 1/2 or environment-dependent characters.)
- The app automatically corrects minor address formatting inconsistencies. (Examples: Confusion between “ケ” and “ヶ”, missing or duplicate “市”/“区” etc.) It can also automatically convert phone numbers from “+81” to “0”.
- New installations are only available for stores that support the Thank You Page Upgrade (Checkout Extensibility).
